Enumerators- Sunaulo Parivar Nepal (SPN)

Sunaulo Parivar Nepal (SPN), a local implementing partner of Marie Stopes International in Nepal, is a well‐established NGO which is delivering Family Planning and Sexual Reproductive Health services through‐out Nepal via different service delivery channels: centres, outreach and Marie Stopes (MS) Ladies.

Sunaulo Parivar Nepal (SPN) is looking for Nepali citizens to be part of a pool of that will be called upon for the role of enumerators (data collectors) as required for the various research activities that SPN conducts throughout the year. The enumerators will work closely with Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) team and other key stakeholders on specific research projects and will be employed for the duration of the study on a contractual basis.
Job Location: Field based depending on the location of study
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Enumerator should carry out any duties that are assigned to him/her during the duration of his/her contract. It mainly includes but not limited to the following tasks:
  • Attend the study training and travel to the designated district as advised by the study team
  • Collect Qualitative and Quantitative data using the tools and techniques provided by RME team
  •  Report progress weekly and on ad hoc basis as required by RME team
  • Enumerator should remain in the field until the assigned activities are accomplished and required data are obtained.

Qualifications:
  • Intermediate (+2) or pursuing bachelor’s degree in Public Health or in relevant discipline
  • Experience in coordinating and conducting field work for research projects

Experience:
  • At least 2 year working in data collection activities, ideally within the Reproductive Health sector
  • Experience in collecting both quantitative and qualitative data preferred
  • Demonstrated capabilities of producing results when working with individuals with varying levels of expertise

 Skills:
  • Ability to work effectively in situations that may be uncomfortable and build rapport with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
  •  The ability to provide accurate and timely information under pressure, and work persistently to overcome obstacles JF – Enumerators
  • The ability and willingness to travel to various parts of Nepal (including remote areas with difficult terrain)
  • Fluent in Nepali and knowledge of local languages an added advantage
