Programme Coordinator Bajura – UNFPA : UNFPA Country Office, Nepal announces vacancy for the position of Programme Coordinator based in Bajura – UNFPA Position: Programme Coordinator, Bajura (1 position) (Service Contract – SB 4/Peg II)

Scope of Services:  The position will be based in the field and will be responsible for liaising with selected municipalities and UNFPA implementing partners to oversee the implementation of UNFPA supported programme activities in line with the 8th Country Programme 2018-2022. S/he will advocate for and facilitate advancing the national commitments to implement the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), and the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development at local level in close collaboration with relevant partners.

Eligibility: Completion of Advanced Degree in Health (including Medicine) or Social Sciences, preferably in Management, Public/ Business Administration, Public Health, Population or Development Studies; At least five years of progressively working experience at the community, district and national levels in programme planning, management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field preferably within the UN system; Demonstrated capability and good understanding of UNFPA’s mandate in particular related to population dynamics, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender equality; Excellent command of oral and written English and Nepali are essential, knowledge of other local languages will be an advantage; ability to function in multicultural work environment.

Job Vacancy for BPH - Nutrition and WASH Specialist and Field Officer

Aasaman Nepal (ASN) is one of the leading NGOs engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed to protection, promotion and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Since its establishment in 1999, ASN has been continuously active in the development of children in terms of education, child rights, health and nutrition and livelihood. While operating in education and school based program, ASN realized that child nutrition is one of the important component to be considered to give momentum and attain the vision of happier and healthier children because they directly affect the future of the children. 

Aasaman Nepal in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), is implementing ‘SMART Nutrition Village’ in Rautahat and Saptari districts with the aim to contribute to food and nutrition security amongst women of reproductive, vulnerable and food insecure families. For this purpose, Aasaman Nepal is looking for experienced and highly qualified Nepali candidates for the following positions:  

1.Nutrition and WASH Specialist-1 (Rautahat) 

The WASH Specialist should work under the direct supervision of Program Coordinator and s/he will be responsible to implement project activities, monitoring and reporting. S/he should be updated with environmental matters and be aware of the policies and development in the areas of operation. 

Qualification and Experience required: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with a minimum of two years of professional work experience in nutrition and WASH-related programs.

2. Field Officer (Rautahat-4 and Saptari-4)  

Field Officer will be responsible for providing technical support, execution plan activities and monitoring in the field level activities in order to ensure high standard of the project implementation. 

Qualification and skills required: Bachelors in Public Health with at least one year of proven experience in implementing and managing health and nutrition programs in Nepal. 

3. Finance & Admin Officer- 1 (Saptari):  

The Finance and Administration Officer reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for providing effective and efficient financial and administrative services. He/she should maintain the purchase order system, assets register, financial files, and records. 

Qualification and Experience Required: Bachelor in Accounting with audit background and a good understanding of accounting principles including accrual accounting, reconciliations, and preparedness to learn more complex principles is required. 

Other Attributes for all positions: Excellent quality of work and commitment to high standards, strong communication skills, team building and willingness and motivated for good service delivery with strong networking and interpersonal skills and comfortable to work under stress and emergencies. 

Age Limit: Candidates between 21 years to 45 years are only eligible to apply for all the above posts. 

Duration: Annual contract basis with three months probation period with the possibility of extension 

Competent candidates with I/ NGO sector experience from disadvantaged, marginalized groups, females and inhabitants of the project districts will be given priority.
